Meliá La Quinta awarded third prize in the best golf hotel category in Spain

The Marbella resort was placed only one point behind the second placed Meliá Golf Vichy Catalán.

The Meliá La Quinta Hotel was awarded third prize in the best golf hotel in Spain category of Today's Golfer Travel Awards, awards chosen by the readers of Today's Golfer Magazine.

The Marbella resort, with 12% of the votes, was placed only one point behind the second placed Meliá Golf Vichy Catalán.

"This is a very significant award for us since the British public is very important for our business as such a large proportion of our clients come from Britain", explained Susana Jiménez, Director of the Meliá La Quinta Hotel.

This was the first year that Today's Golfer Magazine awarded these prizes in association with the largest golf tour operator, Your Golf Travel. The competition has been well received by golfers throughout the United Kingdom who voted between thousands of destinations and golf courses in a total of ten European zones: Portugal, Spain, France, North, South and West of England, East and Midlands, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

In addition to the category of Best Golf Hotel in Spain, for which the Meliá La Quinta Hotel won an award, prizes were also awarded for the best golf courses and the best destination from continental Europe.
